Ja! Kaktusleder gehört zu den nachhaltigsten Materialien, die es heute gibt. Und das aus folgendem Grund:
Wassersparend:
Der Nopal-Kaktus gedeiht in trockenen Umgebungen und benötigt zum Wachsen nur Regenwasser – im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichem Leder, für das über 15.000 Liter Wasser pro Kilogramm Haut benötigt werden.
Keine giftigen Chemikalien:
Im Gegensatz zu synthetischem veganem Leder (das oft aus PVC- oder PU-Kunststoffen hergestellt wird) enthält Kaktusleder keine auf fossilen Brennstoffen basierenden Materialien und ist somit umweltfreundlicher.
CO2-negativ:
Die Kaktuspflanze absorbiert CO₂ aus der Atmosphäre, wodurch ihr Produktionsprozess klimanegativ ist.

WHAT DOES PÓOJ MEAN
“Póoj” means “bag” or “handbag” in Yucatec Maya. It honors our Mexican roots and reflects the spirit of the brand — a celebration of heritage, strength, and sustainable design.
Pronounced: Pohch — like “pooh” (with an ooh sound as in boot), followed by a sharp “ch,” similar to the Spanish j in jalapeño or the German ch in Buch.
