We ship to the United States with tracked delivery. Shipping, duties and taxes are shown at checkout so you can review the full order cost before payment.
How long does shipping take?
Estimated standard delivery times:
- Germany and the rest of the EU: 3–5 working days
- UK, Switzerland and Norway: 5–10 working days
- US and Canada: 5–15 working days
Express shipping is available for selected destinations:
- EU destinations where offered: 1–3 working days
- UK, Switzerland and Norway: 1–2 working days
- US and Canada: 3–5 working days

Can I return my order?
We offer a voluntary 30-day return period from delivery. Items returned under this voluntary policy must be unused, in their original condition and packaging, with labels and protective elements intact. US returns are free within 30 days. Contact help@poojstudios.com to arrange your return.
Faulty or incorrect items are handled separately under applicable consumer law. Our voluntary return conditions and 30-day deadline do not limit your statutory rights. Contact us for assistance with any faulty or incorrect item.

How do I return an order from outside the EU?
The following shipping and condition requirements apply to voluntary returns. They do not restrict cancellation rights or remedies for faulty or incorrect goods under applicable law.
Email help@poojstudios.com for the return address and instructions. Send your item using a tracked service, then email us your order number and return tracking number.
Clearly mark the shipment as “Returned goods” on the customs documents and include the original order details to help avoid import charges when it re-enters the EU.
US returns are free within 30 days; contact us to arrange your return before sending it. For returns from other countries outside the EU, you arrange and pay for return shipping, including any customs duties or handling fees incurred. Please pack your item securely and keep your proof of postage.
Once your return arrives, we’ll check that the item is unused and in new condition, then process your refund.

Is cactus leather truly sustainable?
There are environmental benefits to the way Desserto grows and harvests its cactus. At its ranch in Mexico:
- Nopal grows without irrigation, herbicides or pesticides.
- Only mature leaves are harvested, allowing the plant to keep growing.
- The leaves are dried in the sun before processing.
These practices are part of why we chose the material. To understand its impact beyond farming, Desserto has also assessed the material’s production.
How durable is cactus leather?
Our cactus leather is suitable for everyday use. It is:

Are Póoj Studios bags vegan?
Yes. Our bags are made without animal-derived materials. We use cactus leather alongside plant-based and recycled textiles.
How do I care for my bag?
- Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products.
- Store your bag in its Póoj dust bag in a cool, dry place.
- Keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight.
- Cactus leather doesn’t need leather conditioner.
Where are Póoj Studios bags made?
Our bags are handmade in Italy by a small team of skilled women. The cactus leather we use is made in Mexico.
What does Póoj mean?
“Póoj” means “bag” or “handbag” in Yucatec Maya. The name connects Póoj Studios to our Mexican roots.
To pronounce it, start with the “oo” sound in “boot” and finish with the German “ch” in “Buch.”
